Shenkel UCC was first established as the Second German Reformed Church. It has grown from the original 12 members to more than 300 today.

THE PURPOSE OF SHENKEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST
To Worship God,
To Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
To Celebrate the sacraments,
To Realize Christian fellowship and unity within the church universal,
To Render loving service toward humankind, And
To Strive for righteousness, justice and peace.
We covenant with one another to seek and respond to the word and will of God.
We agree to walk together in the ways of the Lord.
We hold it to be the mission of this church to witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ in all the world, while worshipping God.
