PEACE SERVICE
During the summer, our monthly Peace Service will move outside to the Grove, weather permitting, and will be held on the third Wednesday, instead of the third Sunday of each month (June 16, July 21, and August 18) beginning at 7:30 p.m.
If you’ve never attended this contemplative service of worship, plan to take a break from your busy schedule and join us over the summer. There is plenty of time for quiet meditation and prayer; the repetitive Taizé style chants and candle light (along with the bird songs and wind rustling through the trees) help create a peaceful and reflective setting for worship.
Communion is offered to everyone at every Peace Service.
Shenkel provides a Peace Service, designed to help us simply be still in the presence of God and "watch the water clear". This quiet, contemplative service takes place in the Social Hall, and includes candlelight, repetitive songs, and plenty of time for reflection and prayer.
